Welcome to Family Ministry

We exist to move families into a more dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ.  That’s why our preschool, elementary, and student ministries work together in cultivating an intentional track to launch high school graduates into adulthood in full dependence in Jesus Christ.

Here’s how we do it...

orange philosophy

Orange is a strategy that represents a partnership betweenfamily (red–love) and church (yellow–light) to make Orange. At BCC, we love kids and students and want to see each one of them grow and develop a relationship with Jesus, but we know the church can’t do it alone.

The church has approximately 40 hours a year to influence a child, while parents have about 3,000 hours a year. By leveraging the influence of parents and finding ways to partner with them in leading their child’s spiritual development, we are able to show kids who God is more effectively than either could do alone.

We believe that family ministry should not be another program you add to your list of programs. It should be the filter you use to create and evaluate what you do to influence children and teenagers. We understand that there is a difference between doing something for the family and doing something with the family.

These are the primary principles we have established as the basis for our approach to Family Ministries:

Relationship with God

Nothing is more important than someone’s relationship with God.

parent influence

No one has more potential to influence a child’s relationship with God than a parent

church influence

No one has more potential to influence the parent than the church

Parent Partnership

The church’s potential to influence a child dramatically increases when it partners with a parent

Romans 12:4-5 says, Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. God created us to be connected to one another to form His body, His church. With everything that is happening in the world today, it’s no secret that forming new connections and keeping old ones is more difficult than ever. That is why we are excited to tell you about Family Connect!

Family Connect is a fun way to build a connection with another family here at BCC all the while staying socially distanced. This is a fun activity for the whole family!
