Missions

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

MISSIONS STRATEGY

We exist to move people into a more dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ. Every dollar given at BCC resources our purpose. We believe that the church does not exist for us; we are the church and we exist for the world. That is why we will fund local, national, and international mission efforts. We will fund:

  • Local mission partners that are feeding, clothing, and provide assistance to people in need.
  • National church planting efforts and disaster relief.
  • Mobilization of our congregation in local, national, and international projects and missionary journeys.
  • Reaching the unreached around the world.
  • Local church-planting and revitalization initiatives.
  • Denominational support: Cooperative Program, North Carolina Baptist Convention, and Transylvania Baptist Association.
  • Missionaries supported by BCC, and BCC members who are going to the mission field.

Mission Trips

Honduras, March 17-23, 2019. This trip is considered a construction trip. We will continue our partnership with Christian Community in Honduras, the same ministry that our team worked with in July 2018. The focus of the trip will be impacting the lives of families and communities in Honduras through the purchase and installation of eco-friendly stoves in rural areas of the country. These stoves greatly improve the lives of families and pave the way for the gospel.  Trip dates are March 17-23, 2018 and trip cost is $1800 per person which covers airfare and all in-country expenses. No special skills required. Open to age 18 and older. For questions, contact Derek Studt at derek@brevardcommunity.org.

Honduras, July 14-20, 2019Join us in Las Lajas, Honduras as we work alongside our partner in ministry, Christian Community in Honduras (Pastor Israel Gonzalez). The focus of this trip will be to facilitate Vacation Bible School (VBS) in surrounding villages as well as install eco-friendly stoves in homes across the community. By meeting the physical needs of the community, we are opening the door for Christian Community to spread the gospel and disciple the villages in which we will be working. Trip dates are July 15-21, 2018 and trip cost is $1800 per person which covers airfare and all in-country expenses. No special skills required. Open to ages 14 and up.  For questions, contact Derek Studt at derek@brevardcommunity.org.
